My academic journey that began at Southern Methodist University (SMU) last year and continues at Collin College, where I’m now pursuing an Associate of Applied Science in Construction Management. My time at SMU gave me a strong academic foundation and further reinforced a passion for construction that has been there my whole life. Since transferring to Collin, I’ve focused on developing practical skills through courses in communication, print reading, materials and methods, and construction management.
Each class has expanded my understanding of how projects are planned, coordinated, and executed, while strengthening my problem-solving, leadership, and teamwork abilities. This portfolio represents the knowledge and experience I’m building as I work toward becoming a skilled and reliable professional in the construction industry.
My Values
I carry the values my family instilled in me every day—working hard, staying ambitious, being honest, and treating others the way I want to be treated. I was raised to believe that success comes from consistency, respect, and doing things the right way even when no one is watching. My family has always led by example, showing me what it means to take pride in your work and to never cut corners.
I’m truly blessed with the family I was born into because they’ve shaped not just my character, but also the way I approach life and opportunities. They’ve taught me to stay humble, grateful, and determined, no matter the circumstances. I’m proud of the direction I’m heading in, and I know that these values—the same ones that have guided me so far—will continue to push me toward becoming the best version of myself, both personally and professionally.
